Site Preparation Before Installation
To allow our technicians to carry out the work efficiently and safely, the work area must be appropriately prepared before arrival.
All furniture, blinds, curtains, and personal belongings should be removed or relocated away from the windows to be treated. Clear access must be provided to all glass surfaces. Any obstructions that prevent proper installation may result in delays or additional labour charges.
While our team takes reasonable care when working on your premises, Vista Tint will not be held responsible for any damage to items left within the work zone. It is your responsibility to ensure the area is suitable for installation.
Payment Terms & Service Completion
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, full payment is required immediately upon completion of the installation.
We accept payments via approved methods communicated prior to the job. Failure to settle the invoice within the agreed timeframe may result in additional fees, service suspension, or recovery action.
For larger projects or commercial works, a deposit may be required prior to commencement, with the balance payable upon completion.
Installation Conditions & Observations
Window film installation involves working with existing glass, and certain imperfections may become more visible after application.
Scratches, chips, stains, or pre-existing glass defects are not caused by the tinting process but may be highlighted once the film is installed. Vista Tint accepts no liability for such conditions.
In some cases, minor visual distortions, haziness, or small particles may be present immediately after installation. These are normal and will typically resolve as the film cures.
Post-Installation Care Guidelines
Proper care after installation is essential to ensure longevity and performance of the window film.
Do not clean or touch the film for a minimum of 30 days after installation. During this curing period, small water pockets or a cloudy appearance may be visible—this is normal and will disappear over time.
Once cured, the film should only be cleaned using a soft cloth or sponge with mild, non-abrasive cleaning solutions. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive pads, or sharp objects that could damage the film surface.
Do not attempt to peel, scratch, or interfere with the edges of the film, as this will void any applicable warranty.
Glass Condition & Breakage Disclaimer
Although uncommon, glass breakage may occur during or after the installation process due to pre-existing weaknesses in the glass.
Factors such as age, structural stress, manufacturing defects, or prior damage may contribute to this risk. Vista Tint does not accept responsibility for glass breakage unless it is proven to be directly caused by negligence on our part.
By proceeding with the installation, you acknowledge and accept this inherent risk.
Insurance & Liability Coverage
Vista Tint operates with appropriate public liability insurance for standard installation activities.
However, our insurance does not extend to cover pre-existing conditions, structural faults, or damages unrelated to our workmanship. Clients are encouraged to ensure their own property insurance is adequate for any unforeseen incidents.
Warranty & Performance Assurance
Vista Tint provides a manufacturer-backed warranty on selected window films, covering issues such as peeling, bubbling, cracking, or discolouration under normal conditions.
The warranty applies only when the film has been properly maintained in accordance with our care instructions. It does not cover damage caused by misuse, neglect, improper cleaning, or external factors beyond our control.
Warranty claims must be submitted with proof of purchase and will be assessed in accordance with the manufacturer’s terms.
